Zhenghan and DaBomb attack peptide agriculture and compete in the international cup.

Zhenghan's pioneering peptide product series, including Futai-n, has obtained eight drug licenses and is about to enter the commercialization stage; DaBomb 's lactic acid bacteria hydrolyzed peptides are already sold in domestic and international markets. The efforts of the two companies in the crop and animal markets respectively have earned Taiwan's agriculture a ticket to the international arena.

Zhenghan, which is about to be listed on the Innovation Board, is scheduled to hold a results presentation on the 29th. Zhenghan Chairman Wu Zhengbang said that the biggest change in global agriculture is that big data has become a new "production factor", which can not only get rid of environmental constraints and produce the best high-end agricultural products, but also make precision agriculture more effective.

Wu Zhengbang said that the research found that peptides can control the growth and reproduction of microorganisms and have been developed into a new generation of antibiotics. Zhenghan's Futai-n utilizes 253 carefully selected functional peptides from recyclable feather keratin hydrolysate peptides and fish scale collagen decomposition peptides. This can improve crop health, enhance stress resistance, and achieve the goal of reducing fertilizer use without reducing yield, or even increasing and improving yield. It has significant application value for reducing global agricultural fertilizer use and greenhouse gas emissions.

DaBomb , which is actively adjusting its operations, reported a net loss of NT$1.04 per share in the first three quarters of this year. However, after halting losses at its Zhangzhou plant in Fujian, China, it is expected to break even in the fourth quarter and achieve a small profit next year. Chairman Liu Yu-fen stated that DaBomb has the highest content of lactic acid bacteria hydrolyzed peptides in the industry. The product's uniqueness lies in its ability to enhance animal immunity, reduce antibiotic use, and utilize pure plant-based ingredients in its manufacturing process to replace animal protein, thus avoiding the threats posed by African swine fever and mad cow disease.
